Meet the ALMOST ELTON team. The final product on stage is much more than just that. This mad
bunch is what makes up the great show!
Matthew Rock plays ELTON JOHN It's
hard to know where to start when describing this talented performer. Matthew was born and bred n Yeovil, Somerset. It is here
at a very early age where his interest and almost immediate success as a performer began. At the tender age of 8, Matthew
was already 'treading boards' as a musician in front of audiences over 500 strong. Indeed all through his early educational
years music was the centerpiece. Not surprisingly therefore the successful qualifications in music followed at all levels
up to the degree in music and education that he now holds and Matthew continues to use these skills through teaching as well
as performing today. It is however in the performance arena that his passion lies and from musical theatre as a musical director
to cover version performances under his own name to this inspired tribute show, the success has been widespread and continuous
both in the UK and abroad. The mixture of humor, good company and pure genius that Matthew
provides is second to none and his driving force behind the show garuntees it's success time after time. |

MARK PARSONS - Technical Manager
Mark has always been inspired by the technical elements of live shows right across the board.
At an early age he was determined to explore this avenue as much as he could and even though this resulted in him appearing
on stage on more then one occasion, he was always prepared to do anything to get 'behind the scenes'.
Mark naturally developed a talent for technical management and has been in demand as a stage manager and set
installer on many occasions. Fully aware of the fickle nature of the industry, Mark backed up his technical skills by following
the family business in the barber industry and still uses his skilled hands as a barber today!
His real passion though is behind that sound and lighting desk where he performs the vital and expert role that
he does for ALMOST ELTON. He tends to keep everyone calm and under control too!
DEL ROWLAND - Crew
It has only been within the last eight or so years that Del has been involved in productions.
Initially a skilled kitchen maker, it was 'late n the day' when he was 'bitten by the bug!'
Since taking active roles both in and out of the spotlight, Del has focussed his experience on the technical
side and those all important things which make the show run smoothly (including keeping Matthew under control!).
Del has been the technical supervisor to Matthew Rock's solo shows for the last four years and it is no surprise
that his skills are in demand for the ALMOST ELTON show.
Although Del is a Leeds United supporter he doesn't mention this a great deal which makes him great company and
a huge assett to the show. Once everything is in place and checked, Del can be found right there in the wings, makng sure
that all the costume changes run according to plan!

Darren provides a crucial link between us and the big wide world. WIth his superb photography
we enjoy his company at many of our performances and he also spends time with our audiences preparing for their fame on our
website!
Matthew and Darren actually went to school together and have stayed in touch ever since.
